Things to consider...

How do I know what is a reputable counsellor?

A reputable counsellor will be:

  • Qualified
  • Registered
  • Insured

To know that your counsellor/psychotherapist is legit they will hold a qualification that allows them to register with a professional body. The professional body has strict guidelines and requirements, that are reviewed every year. They also provide a strict ethics code and complaints procedures, along with enabling your counsellor to be insured. Your counsellor must have a substantial level of training and experience to be accepted by the professional body.

What if we don't get on?

Think of this as meeting a new person; you normally know whether you like them and feel comfortable around them quite quickly. The free consultation is a chance for us to decide whether we work well together. If for some reason you feel like we're not the right fit, I will never be offended. Counselling is very personal and it is very important that you find the right person who suits you. For suggestions or alternative ideas please click here.
